Since, Smt. Lalita Devi Saboo was always supportive of and in favour of Girl Child Education and Women Empowerment, the trust began its work of social upbringing and service with upgrading the all-girls school in Nawa City and commencing women empowerment programmes. The Senior Secondary Government Girls’ School was equipped with 2 computer rooms with 6 computers, furniture and power back up system. Furthermore, Sports area with basketball court, an upgraded library, school furniture, a well secured boundary wall for the safety and security of students was built and the entire building was repaired and painted with an investment of Rs. 15.00 Lacs. The Government of Rajasthan was overwhelmed and appreciated our trust activities by honouring our Chairman Shri Madan Lal Saboo with 'Bhamashah' Award during the year 2003.


Sankalp - Women Empowerment Programme


Sankalp - Women Empowerment Programme

 

Sankalp was one of the first few initiatives taken by the trust under the management of Smt. Manju Saboo (Trustee) in the year 2001 and is actively running till date. The programme is designed to empower women by educating them with skills such as stitching garments, bags, suits, etc., beautician / parlour work, basic education – to read and write, and similar. Over 2700 women have been taught stitching through the Sankalp Silai School and are now self-sufficient, supporting themselves as well as their families.

Sponsored Education
 
Education assistance is provided by the trust to children of over 250 families, based on merit. All children going to school submit forms for sponsorship along with their marksheets. Based on the grades, sponsorships are granted from 40% to 100%. 
 
We are proud to sponsor a few underprivileged children with 100% school expense who have come out with flying colours.
 
The trust’s sponsorship includes school fee, books, uniform, shoes and stationery.

The trust has financed setup of computers, construction of bathrooms and classrooms with complete furniture for multiple schools such as, Sharda Bal Niketan and Shyam Bal Niketan in Nawa City as well as nearby villages in Rajasthan


Medical Assistance

A Medical Bank in the Government hospital in Nawa City is setup at regular intervals to provide free of charge medication to patients in need. Along with basic medicines, the trust also donates and supports the hospital with medical and surgical equipment for the benefit of patients in and around Nawa City. 

 


Eye Checks and Treatments


Eye Checks and Treatments
 
Free of charge eye check camps are held in Pali, Rajasthan through Pali Seva Mandal. Our trust sponsors two camps in an annum which supports over 270 patients with optic ailments. A complete check is performed for patients with cataract, after which the doctors assign time and date for complete treatment including operation, the complete process for all the patients is sponsored by Smt. Lalita Devi Saboo Memorial Trust.

Supply of Filtered Drinking Water

The trust has setup 2000 litre RO water purifier plants, with the purpose of making clean filtered drinking water to all.
 
Nawa City being close to Sambhar Lake with numerous salt factories in and around our town, the ground water is salty and not fit for drinking. Water is an essential element for life thus to provide portable filtered water to every individual we have setup multiple RO plants. 
 

Adopted Gaushalas and Cattle Fodder Service


Adopted Gaushalas and Cattle Fodder Service
 
The trust has adopted Gaushala, Bhadi Mandir, Mithari, Shri Janakalyan Gopal Gaushala, Maroth, and Radhey Krishna Gauvansh Gaushala (cattle care home for injured or disable cattle), Nawa City Rajasthan. The cattle care homes/ Gaushalas are given essential fodder, along with financial aid to maintain amenities for the cattle.
 
To preserve the life of cattle on the roads, water catchment areas along with fodder tubs have been placed at multiple locations.

A centre for specialised Ayurveda services. Lalit Aarogyam is a fully equipped Ayurveda and panchakarma centre with airconditioned therapy rooms a gymnasium and lush green gardens with walking tracks.

Yoga and Meditation Camps


Yoga and Meditation Camps

Regular Yoga and Meditation camps are held, multiple yoga gurus from Rishikesh and Haridwar have been called to Nawa City for 7-10 day yoga and meditation camps. Over twenty-one hundred people have been benefitted through these camps.

The trust has created setup for badminton court, cycling tracks, table-tennis, space for cricket, etc. A Nawa Badminton Club has been setup which has members from the age of 6 to 60, training sessions are held for members interested in learning the sport. Club members have participated in district as well as state level badminton. 


COVID-19 Assistance


COVID-19 Assistance
 
The trust has supported the local authorities in Nawa City financially as well as by helping in maintain order to fight the pandemic successfully. 
 
The trust is helping the deprived and underprivileged by providing them with 
 
  1. Ration – Flour, Lentils, Tea, Sugar, Salt, Spices, etc. along with a box of sweets to meet the whole requirement of a household. 
  2. Basic vegetables along with Garlic and Ginger as immunity booster vegetables.
  3. Clean Drinking Water – To avoid falling prey to any other illnesses. 
  4. Distributed Giloy Plants – Over 200 plants of Giloy have been planted and as many distributed by the trust to help escalate immunity. This is the most effective way of increasing immunity and helps the body to fight the virus. This initiative has been highly appreciated by many. 
  5. Immunity Booster Drink – Everyday Liters immunity booster drink is being made in the trust’s Lalit Palace compound. This immunity booster drink is being distributed among approximately 300 people every day. Another highly appreciated initiative.  
  6. Fans – Fans have been distributed to over 100 people to beat the heat and be in the comforts of their homes during the COVID-19 pandemic.
  7. Financial Support – Necessary financial support has been provided in cash to underprivileged families.
 
The trust and its members have supported and helped hundreds of households in Nawa City and surrounding towns and villages during the pandemic and continue to do so with the aim to successfully boost immunities in the most natural ways to fight off the virus at the earliest.
